Frugal Christmas Ideas~25 days of Christmas Books

A Unique Tradition or Gift

This is a very simple project that will give your family a present every day of December.
As a literacy specialist, this project is near and dear to my heart.
So much of school success is dependent upon reading to your little one{s}.
This project will add a little holiday magic to your nightly routine or make for a fabulous & frugal gift!

What you will need:
Numbers 1-25 {I found these in a collection of scrapbook paper from Joann's for 50% off}
You can use stamps or markers too.

Scissors

Glue

25 paper sacks

25 small books

How to create...
Prepare your numbers.

Glue 1 number/bag

Add book

Fold over

Arrange in numerical order {also creates a festive display}

You can also wrap each of the 25 books, or wrap larger books that won't fit in a bag, and number them.
I prefer the bag idea because you can reuse the bags each year.

How to use...
Each night your little person can grab a bag/day.
Pull out the book from the bag.
Snuggle up and read a Christmas story.

Here is a link for a list of 25 Christmas books to get your started.
You can use books from around your home,
from the Target Dollar Spot
or the Dollar Store/Tree,
books from the library,
or books from the thrift store.

Each year you can purchase a new book for your collection.

You can reuse your bags each year!  If you are giving them as a gift, tie them together with a big red bow.
